The Fourth Annual Tour of Homes will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 5 pm.

We are featuring 6 Wrightsville Beach homes. All of the houses are waterfront (sound and ocean) and are a mixture of new and old structures.

The Wrightsville Beach Museum located in the turn of the century Myers cottage which is celebrating its 100th anniversary will also be on this year’s Tour.

Tickets may be purchased on Tour Day at the Museum where you may enjoy artists painting, bonsai demonstrations and a variety of container gardening as well as plants offered for purchase.


You may also purchase tickets in advance through our website or contact us at 910-679-4129. Tickets are also available at the following locations: The Arboretum, Fisherman's Wife, Protocol, The Transplanted Garden, The Plant Place, and Uptown Market.

A box lunch is available for $5.00. The King Neptune Restaurant is providing our lunches this year. Contents of the lunch are chicken salad or vegetarian wrap, chips, and homemade brownies by the ladies of the garden club. You may go to the restaurant and eat or pick up your lunch and take to our garden or on the beach to enjoy the peaceful views.

Baker House

The home of Connie and Mitch Baker located at 107 W. Salisbury Street overlooks Kenans Creek.

Collins House

The home of Margaret and Eddie Collins at 24 W. Salisbury Street offers panoramic views of Banks Channel, Lee’s Cut and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Smith House

The home of Denise and Daniel Smith at 18 E. Oxford Street is oceanfront offering spectacular sunrises.

Blair House

The home of Mary and Bill Blair at 801 S. Lumina Avenue is oceanfront on the South end of the beach with expansive decks overlooking the water.

Carter House

The home of Susan and Rusty Carter at 839 S. Lumina Avenue is an older oceanfront home with views of The Masonboro Inlet.

Murchison House

The home of Ann and Alexander Murchison located at 301 S. Lumina is an older oceanfront home with views of Banks Channel.

Wrightsville Beach Museum

The Wrightsville Beach Museum is located at 303 W. Salisbury Street, celebrating its 100th Anniversary, and is housed in the turn of the century Myers cottage.
